Helping Medically Fragile Children Thrive at Home
The Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) is a Medicaid-funded program designed to provide nursing and personal care support for medically fragile children under the age of 21.
This program allows children with complex medical needs to receive in-home care instead of being placed in a facility, ensuring they remain in a safe, loving, and familiar environment while receiving the medical support they need.
How Does the GAPP Waiver Benefit Families?
✔ Covers Skilled Nursing & Personal Care Services (RNs, LPNs, and home health aides)
✔ 100% Medicaid Funded (No out-of-pocket costs for eligible families)
✔ Supports Medically Complex & Special Needs Children
✔ Provides Respite & Relief for Parents & Guardians

What is the GAPP Waiver
Your child may be eligible for GAPP services if they:
✔ Are under 21 years old
✔ Are Medicaid-eligible
✔ Have a medically fragile condition requiring skilled nursing or personal care services
✔ Have a physician’s referral for in-home care
